• When It’s A Texas Rodeo Parade

I don’t know how it is in other states but in Texas, a rodeo parade is a big deal, actually a Big Deal. There’s no other was to explain the crowds that turn out (and turn out they do!)  and brave that old Texas heat just to watch their favorite riders and floats pass by, waving all the while.

This past week it was the town of Comanche’s turn to show off its cowboys and cowgirls as well as those from all walks of life who came to join in on the fun.

Of course, there were the patriotic.

And there is never a shortage of young beauties.

    And the young at heart…

And, of course, those whom the day is all about, the cowboys and cowgirls. As you will see, they start young here in Texas.

I think everyone agreed it was a great parade and a great morning for visiting with friends.

    About Fredda Jones

Fredda Davis Jones was raised “in the country” in Comanche County and learned very early that creativity and innovation are traits that can flourish even in small-town Texas and that with enough effort, indeed nothing is impossible, including being married to the same man for over 40 years! Rickey and Fredda have 2 children, 5 grandchildren, and a crazy life that includes sitting in the bleachers several times a week. The rest of her time is spent creating great content for texansunited.com and marketing small-town Texas.
