• Willie Gets A Statue In Austin, Of Course

They can’t seem to decide whether to arrest him or immortalize him, but this month the city of Austin chose to do the latter by unveiling a statue of country music icon, Willie Nelson.

The statue, located at the corner of West 2nd Street ( Willie Nelson Boulevard) and Lavaca Street, depicts the seventy plus year old singer in the usual braids and jeans. Nelson helped with the unveiling and then treated those present (in true Willie fashion) to his latest song, Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die.

Okay, so what can I say? The more things change, the more they stay the same…in Texas anyway….Well, maybe not…You will see what I mean if you view the video below!
